Today the theme for the blog hop is Celebration, and I am Celebrating Autumn.
This page was made with the Bazinga kit, a very summery kit but as I demonstrated HERE with a Halloween page, it is so versatile, you could use it for all sorts of layouts. The orangey tones in the papers and the elements just cried out to be used for Autumn. You can pick the Bazinga kit up for just $4.00 and it is packed with fabulous greatness! I think it is my favorite kit from Shimelle.
The cutesy apples and the word art "AUTUMN" are from the Autumn Art Embellishments Kit.
and the leaves are from another fabulous mini kit which is totally free "The Long and Winding Road Add-on" - a great way to get you started in digi-scrapping.
You can see my previous work with Shimelle Digitals right HERE.

BOO!!!
This is a fully digital page that I made for Shimelle Digitals CT work.
I wanted to make a halloweeny page and had a flash of inspiration.
THIS kit (the Bazinga kit) from Shimelle is full of summery colours, but I remembered the papers and alphas were orange...perfect for Halloween.
I didn't have any Halloween pictures, so for the purposes of this exercise Google came to my rescue!
The entire kit costs $4 and it so versatile. It is great for summery pictures but also when teamed with other darker colours, great for Autumny pictures too. Secretly, it is my favourite Shimelle Digitals kit!
Check out other ways to use it HERE.
In other Halloween related news...Fiendish Fancies are back! Wahoo!
I'm not into Fondant Fancies really but tried these last year and loved them, the difficulty is just eating one!!! If you like orange flavours give them a try!
Don't forget about the free Halloween journalling spot you can download as a freebie from me HERE. I would be grateful if you used it if you could let me know! I'd love to see it in use!
Halloween is on it's way!

The Details: Shimelle Digitals
Thanks for all the info re: our America trip. We do realise it is a little ambitious so some places will get cut (probably Vegas!) so we have an excuse to go back! It is all money related so we'll just have to see how we get on.
Anyway, how about a bit of scrappy goodness?
above we have the latest page release from the lovely Shimelle. It is aptly called Pretty Page and I barely did a thing to this, just altered the odd bit, threw some pictures in it and about 15 minutes later, hey presto a page.
I adore these quick templates for when you just want to get a story down and get it down quickly. For an 8" x 8" page this has a fair amount of journalling space AND pictures without feeling too cluttered. It is probably my favourite quick template out of the whole range and only 99 CENTS!!!!! WOW!
It is of course available from Two Peas HERE.
Hope you love it!

To go with this page that I blogged the other day I used Shimelle's Bazinga kit (from 2peas in a bucket), used some summery pictures from my Hipstamatic app on the iPhone and wrote a bit about the lovely weather we have had lately. Although today....grey, overcast and raining!
The title is a download from Shimelle's class (available on the forums if you are registered).
It is only a simple page but I wanted to write a bit about the unusually warm summer and the hosepipe ban (which cracks me up, as no doubt we'll be flooded in the winter!!)

Those Lazy Summer Days...
Ahh, whilst I'm totally biased about Shimelle's kits as I'm one of her Baker's Dozen, I'm totally in love with the latest Bazinga kit available from 2peas in a bucket! This is also one of my Liberty Elements templates (8-Oxygen) revisited with such lovely colours.
Recently, I've downloaded the Hipstamatic app for my iphone which basically funky-edits the photos without having to go near photoshop! Seeing as my favourite action there is "vintage", the fact I have about 10 different "films" in my iphone makes my heart sing.
I seem to have it on the "sunny" film a lot when I'm outdoors and just snappy snap all happy summer photos.
Then today, I made this page. And I darned well love it. The colours make me want to go and sit in the sunshine right now...except its 1am and its dark. Damn!
See you all tomorrow in class no doubt??? WAHOOOO!

Project 365 - Re-loaded
So once again, despite promising to keep on top of it, Project 365 has fallen by the wayside *sob*, I sooooooooooooo want to keep on top of this.
If you are behind like me, here is my strategy to catch up:
1. Upload all phone and camera photos to your computer.
2. Sort them by date and use them as a starting point. Put the photos into the right dates on your page (or however you are doing it), use these to jog your memory.
3. Are there still gaps? Check your diary to fill in any blanks. If, like me, your diary is empty (through laziness rather than lack of activity), then turn to technology.
4. Check your tweets, check your facebook status's, check your e-mails and check your texts to remind yourself of what you were doing on a certain day.
5. If all else fails make something up to fill in the blank :)
I have taken stock of how far I am with this project.
* Week 1-10, Week 12, Week 25 and 26 are complete
* Week 11 and Week 22 need one more photo adding to each page
*Week 23 and Week 24 are half way there {insert memory blank}
* Week 13-21 don't exist - boo. I have lots of photos though just need to sort them out.
I started with Week 27 (this week) and worked backwards as surely my most recent memories are the easiest to remember (helloooo week 23 and 24???)
Here is a reminder of the template I am using, it is Cathy Zielske' No. 25 and available from Designer Digitals. I love the simplicity. Every 2 pages I just change the paper and colours and keep everything really simple.
The paper however is another matter....it is from Shimelle's fab new kit called BAZINGA which comes with 50 digital elements for the bargain price of $4.
The paper, despite being gorgeous was too 'busy' for my photos, but I loved it so much, I decided to tone it down a bit. I used a 20% transparency brush in PSE and intended to use white just to soften the colours a bit.
However, I had the 'lemon' colour selected, and below is the result. I love it! It feels so sunny and warm and worn and acid washed.
....Only 9 full weeks to catch up on....wonder what I was doing in those weeks..hmm? Getting married perhaps? ;0)
Hope your yearly/monthly/daily projects are going well. I would love to hear about them!!

Shimelle Digi Kit: You are Amazing
After a couple of weeks off, here is the first of my new digital pages c/o Shimelle's new kit "You are Amazing" available for the bargain sum of $2.00 over at Twopeas.
I ignored the entire "amazing" theme and just scrapped some of my latest piccy's.
I think this would be an amazing page template to make hybrid pages too and such gorgeous colours PLUS an entire woodgrain alpha set. All for $2! Too cute!
Thanks for visiting!

Shimelle Page
This week's release from Shimelle over at twopeas are these gorgeous frames. Six frames for 99 cents. Bargain! You can use them for paper scrapping by printing them off or in your digital pages. If you are using the for digital, you can change the colour and size easily by turning them into a brush should you wish to.
Now, what did I make with it? Well, this page just kind of happened, you know like they do sometimes? I copied and pasted the photo in and it filled the whole page. I was about to re-size it when I clicked the brush tool and lo and behold the frame was already perfectly sized to hover around the edges of the rose. It was like it was meant to be.
This is a gorgeous rose of the dozen I got for Valentine's day. The ledger lines are Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals from the Joyous Template. The shabby edges are Lynn Grieveson from Designer Digitals. I think the edges coupled with the fancy frame give it a Victorian-esque feel.
The writing says "Every year without fail you buy me twelve red roses for Valentine’s day
I love that you don’t ever forget how much I love to get them.
It doesn’t matter if you remembered to buy them five minutes
before you see me, in this case, it is definitely
the thought that counts xox"
I can't wait to play with the rest of the frames, they are surprisingly very flexible to use and I feel they'll be used in many future projects!

Crafty use for digi-scrapping
I wanted to play with my digital scrapping stuff, but make something useful at the same time. Cue "Household reminders" booklet.
I am terrible at remembering when things are due to be paid (like the house insurance that snuck up on me). So I've made a book with space for reminders each month.
Plus I got to use some pretty papers and elements. Photo-heavy post coming up....
All of the month words are by Shimelle Laine at 2peas. Available HERE.
January - Papers by Shabby Princess
February - Papers and Elements Shimelle Laine at 2peas. HERE
March - Feel absolutely awful as I don't know who this belongs to and can't find it again on my computer. If anyone knows please let me know!
April - Papers from Shabby Princess
May - Papers from Shabby Princess
June - Papers and Elements from Shabby Princess
July - Papers from Shabby Princess
August -Starburst Papers from Shimelle at 2peas HERE
Vintage Postmarks from K_Pertiet at Designer digitals
Septemeber - Papers and Elements from the Long and Winding Road Add on Kit from Shimelle Laine at 2peas HERE
October - Papers by Shabby Princess
November - Papers by Shabby Princess. Snowflake Stickers by Shimelle Laine at 2peas. HERE
December - Candy Striped Paper and Elements by K_Pertiet at Designer Digitals.
